No SARPAM workshop (yet)

SARPAM has not (yet) been able to assist the country with a workshop on TRIPS and Access to Medicines.

The 2012 Musungu report mentions that the Patent Act does allow parallel import (International exhaustion (S.21 (4)(a)), but does not have a Bolar clause and only offers a compulsory license on the grounds of non-working after 3 years.

The country can increase its future access to medicines by maximizing these TRIPS flexibilities in its national Patent Act.
